There are numerous types of species that can be found on the tropical shores of coastal areas. However , there exists paucity of studies about macrobenthic foule of disrupted intertidal shores in Malaysia. Most studies have been completed in estuaries and rivers, mangroves, mudflats and corals. Anthropogenic disturbance to normal habitats may possibly disrupt varieties composition, populace and community structure and food chain.

Study regarding species structure at the open area underneath the chalet might deliver a fresh knowledge to public how organism will be affected by a persons activity specifically construction too area. Apart from that, this comparative study gives an idea of the biodiversity in the macro benthos at the Lexis Hotel shoreline.

1 ) 4 Goals of the Study

The objectives of the study are:

1 . To determine the kinds richness with the macrobenthos (epi and infauna) on the exposed shore in the Lexis Motel, Port Dickson. 2 . To quantify the density of the macrobenthos (epi and infauna) on the uncovered shore from the Lexis Lodge, Port Dickson. 3. To measure the community indices of the macrobenthos (epi and infauna) on the revealed shore with the Lexis Resort, Port Dickson.
