ABSTRACT

From this study, we all investigate the relationship between educational performance plus the use of computer technology. We test our hypothesis which proposes that the developing use of electronic deveices is usually academically good for high school students' standardized evaluation scores and GPA. The method of data collection contains both a survey an excellent source of school students in the Midwest area and an analysis of countrywide SAT scores in the years before computing and in years with calculating. Analysis of SAT archival data reveals a negative relationship between results pre -computing and ratings post-computing (with computing influences), meaning that because scores prior to computing were decreasing, ratings with widespread computer technology happen to be increasing. The survey data also viewed a positive relationship between period spent on electronic devices for institution purpose and GPA. INTRODUCTION

The availability and utilization of electronic devices continues to grow. Over four twenty million smart phones were distributed worldwide in 2011 [6]. Almost four hundred million computer systems were distributed during 2010, and that figure is supposed to increase to 1 billion units which will incl ude computers and smart phones by simply 2014 [3]. Together with the development of Wi-Fi hotspots, it is now easier for individuals to stay connected with their portable devices. Since electronic devices keep on being adapted to be friendlier for the end users, we would like to research how a increased utilization of computer centered technologies at the class room and at house impacts the academic performance of students. This research issue is posed: " Is the increased make use of computer based technology enhancing the academic performance of students? ” To ensure us to review this question, we have examined two causes of data. The first being SAT check scores during the last 30 years. The other source can be from info we accumulated from a survey we presented to high school students.

This kind of study is important because it shows that the raising use of digital technologies to get schoolwork can be improving students' academic efficiency. Computer technology can be everywhere in the contemporary society, and most with the high school students in the U. H. own and have access to software on a daily basis. We hope to show appropriate use of these types of technologies increases learning. The remaining of the conventional paper is arranged as follows. We offer a books review on related research. We then discuss the data evaluation and present the benefits. The last section provides talks of the benefits along with the effects of this analyze.

LITERATURE REVIEW

Our books review implies there are contrary conclusions by various research regarding if computer use improves academics performance. A lot of studies claim that computer make use of improves academics performance. Other folks propose that academic performance is not related to computer make use of. A few research suggest that computer use is a distraction to varsity studies and negatively effects academic functionality.

One study claims that there exists evidence that Internet-time is usually harming children's academic functionality. This analyze was made by economists in the University of Munich named Thomas Meister reineke (umgangssprachlich) and Ludger Woessmann who have surveyed learners in 23 countries. They will created a extremely thorough, comprehensive survey to be able to eliminate other possible causes of the down trend of academic performance. They state in their results that the " large ubiquity of...
